About this fabric

The colour reads cooler and deeper than a straightforward navy, shifting between blue-teal and shadowy charcoal across the textured face. Irregular, low-contrast strokes create a gently mottled surface rather than a defined motif, giving the cloth visual depth without feeling busy. Made from 100% polyester and woven at 138cm wide, this chenille is graded for both contract and domestic upholstery. It is machine washable and has domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, with the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this dark blue-teal on a sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its cool depth can anchor pale timber, warm neutrals or softly patterned furnishings. Its near-charcoal shading also suits contemporary rooms that need texture without a high-contrast design.

A deep blue-teal chenille that brings quiet depth and tactile interest to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
