About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide chenille is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The near-black charcoal tone is softened by fine grey variation and short, irregular flecks visible in the weave, rather than a bold printed motif. Its textured face catches the light unevenly, creating gentle depth across cushions, arms and larger upholstered panels. LIV2919 is machine washable and has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, with the option to be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Pair this deep charcoal colourway with pale timber, warm stone and brushed metal to prevent a room from feeling too cool. It also works as a discreet, textural counterpoint to patterned cushions in softer greys, creams or muted greens.

Use this deep charcoal upholstery on sofas, armchairs or dining seats where its understated texture can add depth without introducing a strong pattern.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
