About this fabric

This Milano colourway is a 100% polyester faux leather, supplied at 138cm wide for contract and domestic upholstery. The close all-over texture is made up of irregular pale lines over a softly mottled taupe-brown base, giving the surface a restrained, organic character. The shade reads warm and earthy rather than strongly grey, while the subtle surface variation prevents it from appearing flat. Aftercare is professional, and it has Domestic Cig & Match GreenFRĀ® flame retardancy with the option to be treated to contract grade.

How to use it

Use the warm taupe-brown tone on a sofa, dining chair or upholstered panel, pairing it with dark timber, aged brass and soft cream textiles. Its fine craquelure texture adds quiet detail without competing with stronger patterns.

The muted taupe-brown ground and fine branching texture bring understated depth to contemporary seating and upholstered panels.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside MIL3086 without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
