About this fabric

Made from 87% polyester and 13% cotton, this 138cm-wide chenille is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The close-up shows a plain woven ground built from small, irregular loops, giving the surface tactile definition without a visible motif. Its taupe-grey colouring sits between warm stone and soft charcoal, with subtle tonal variation catching across the pile. Aftercare is professional; the fabric meets Domestic Cig & Match requirements and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Pair this muted taupe-grey with chalky whites, natural timber and layered stone shades for a quiet, textural seating scheme. Its low-contrast surface also works well on larger sofas where the nubby weave can provide depth without introducing a strong pattern.

Use this softly mottled taupe-grey chenille to bring understated warmth and tactile depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
