Curtain fabrics Fabric002

Setamatka/xl Marcassin is shown here as a high-contrast monochrome textile, combining black, white and mid-grey in tightly packed chevrons. Its raised, irregular surface gives the sharp pattern a soft, tactile character.

About this fabric

The colourway is built from broken zigzag bands that shift between charcoal black, chalk white and flecks of grey, creating a lively depth across the surface. Short, nubby yarns make the weave visibly raised and uneven, while the tonal contrast keeps the chevron design crisp rather than subtle. The substantial-looking construction makes it best suited to upholstery, particularly where a graphic fabric with tactile interest is wanted. No performance features or further specification data are supplied for this fabric.

How to use it

Pair the charcoal-and-white pattern with quiet grey upholstery, pale timber or warm natural materials to balance its strong geometry. It can also act as a monochrome accent on a chair or cushion within a more layered scheme.

Use the charcoal-and-white chevron weave to bring graphic contrast and tactile depth to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Setamatka/xl Marcassin without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
