About this fabric

This colourway sits firmly in the charcoal range, with a muted blue-grey cast that gives the dark tone a cooler, more architectural feel. Close inspection shows a compact woven texture made up of fine vertical and horizontal variation, rather than a printed motif. The surface catches the light subtly, lifting the grey in places without losing its deep, restrained character. Volare Charcoal is listed in Dedar’s Fire-retardant collection; no composition, width, rub-test figures or other performance specifications were supplied for this exact fabric.

How to use it

Use the cool charcoal tone to bring definition to a pale scheme, or pair it with brushed metal, smoked wood and soft grey upholstery for a quietly modern room. Its fine, low-contrast weave also works well where a dark textile is wanted without a completely flat finish.

Its cool charcoal tone and fine woven texture suit tailored upholstery, cushions and understated curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
