Inveraray Charcoal

Jacquard fabrics Fabric001

Inveraray Charcoal presents a deep charcoal ground with a barely-there, broken vertical texture. Across the swatch, the dense weave shifts between soft black and graphite as the light moves over it.

About this fabric

Inveraray Charcoal is a densely woven jacquard in a near-black charcoal grey. Fine, irregular vertical movement breaks up the dark ground, while the close, nubby surface gives the swatch a dry, tactile depth. The colour reads cool and quietly dramatic, with tiny lighter flecks appearing as the weave catches the light. Its substantial-looking texture makes it particularly well suited to structured upholstered forms.

How to use it

Use this cool, near-black charcoal on a structured armchair, sofa or dining seat where its fine texture can soften a strong silhouette. Pair with pale stone, smoked oak or brushed metal to bring out its graphite flecks without losing the colourway’s restrained depth.

A cool, near-black charcoal weave that brings quiet depth to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
