Upholstery fabrics Fabric001

Sorogoyen Ardesia presents a cool slate-grey ground with a closely packed, tactile weave. Charcoal, brown and taupe threads create a softly mottled surface rather than a printed motif.

About this fabric

The swatch has a dense, small-scale woven texture with a lightly nubby, grain-like appearance. Its charcoal-grey base is warmed by fine taupe and brown flecks, giving the colourway more depth than a flat grey. Subtle changes in the weave catch the light across the surface, while the restrained colouring keeps the overall effect composed and architectural. As part of Dedar’s Upholstery fabrics collection, its substantial-looking construction is particularly suited to structured seating and headboards.

How to use it

Pair this cool Ardesia grey with pale stone, chalky whites and smoked timber for a calm, contemporary scheme. Its scattered taupe warmth also works well beside cognac leather, walnut and brushed metal accents.

Use this cool, flecked grey weave to bring quiet depth and tactile contrast to tailored upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
