Kitsune Midnight

Fable Weaves FabricLF1930

Kitsune Midnight has a tightly woven, repeating herringbone made from narrow chevron lines in charcoal, black and muted taupe-grey. Its dark, quietly varied surface reads modern and architectural while retaining the natural irregularity of linen.

About this fabric

This 137cm fabric is composed of 24% viscose and 76% linen, giving the small-scale weave a finely textured, directional appearance. The charcoal and black zigzags sit against a softer taupe-grey ground, with the alternating threads creating subtle tonal movement rather than a flat black finish. Listed for curtains and fixed upholstery, it is graded for Contract and General Domestic use. After-care is dry clean only.

How to use it

Use Kitsune Midnight on a tailored chair, bench or fixed sofa where its compact chevron can act as a graphic dark neutral. It also suits full-length curtains in rooms with warm timber, aged brass or soft taupe upholstery, allowing the charcoal lines to add definition without introducing a strong colour.

The cool charcoal-and-taupe chevron gives contemporary depth to tailored upholstery, curtains and layered neutral schemes.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Kitsune Midnight without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
