About this fabric

The small repeated chevron weave is clearly visible across the face of the fabric, giving the chenille a fine, directional texture. Its charcoal-grey ground is lifted by subtle taupe and brown-grey flecks, so the shade reads deep and muted without becoming black. Made from 100% polyester and supplied at 138cm wide, SCE2099 is specified for Contract and Domestic upholstery. It is machine washable and has Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy, with treatment available to achieve Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use this charcoal-taupe colourway on a sofa, dining seat or occasional chair where its small herringbone can add quiet pattern without overwhelming the room. Warm oak, natural stone and oatmeal textiles will draw out the brown-grey tones in the weave.

Pair the charcoal-taupe herringbone with warm timber, stone and softly textured neutral upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
