About this fabric

Made from 100% polyester, this 138cm-wide chenille is suitable for both contract and domestic upholstery. The image shows a fine, closely spaced herringbone picked out in silvery grey and muted sage, giving the surface a softly mottled appearance rather than a flat solid colour. Its understated pattern and cool green-grey cast suit tailored furniture where texture is wanted without a strong graphic statement. The fabric is machine washable and has domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy; it can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use SCE2097 on a sofa, dining chair or occasional armchair where its pale sage-grey tone can soften darker timber, charcoal, stone and brushed-metal finishes. Keep the surrounding scheme restrained so the fine herringbone texture remains visible.

Use this cool sage-grey herringbone to bring quiet texture to tailored seating and contemporary upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
