About this fabric

This Salice colourway is a 138cm-wide flat weave made from 85% polyester, 12% cotton and 3% linen. The image shows charcoal grey softened by subtle tonal variation, with closely crossed yarns creating a dry, lightly heathered texture rather than a smooth plain surface. It is graded for both contract and domestic upholstery, making the cloth suitable for seating applications where a restrained, hard-working appearance is required. Aftercare is professional; the fabric meets Domestic Cig & Match flame retardancy and can be treated to Crib 5 contract grade.

How to use it

Use the cool charcoal tone on a sofa, dining chair or headboard, pairing it with pale timber, brushed metal and muted blue-grey or stone accents. The lightly mottled weave will add depth without introducing a strong pattern.

A cool charcoal upholstery with a subtly irregular woven surface, well suited to contemporary seating and tailored occasional furniture.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
