Kensington Cornflower

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Cornflower is a quietly textured blue with a cool, denim-like depth and a softly striated surface. The colour reads as a calm cornflower shade rather than a bright primary blue.

About this fabric

This Brodsworth colourway is made from 100% polyester and has a 140cm width, with a plain 0cm pattern repeat and care marked NQT1<. The surface shows fine horizontal slubbing and a gently mottled weave, giving the blue a lived-in, fabric-rich look rather than a flat finish. In the image, the tone sits between slate and cornflower, with darker and lighter threads creating subtle movement across the cloth. That slightly brushed, cool character makes it feel tailored and understated rather than vivid or glossy.

How to use it

Use Kensington Cornflower on a clean-lined chair, cushions, or Roman blinds where the woven texture can add depth to the room. Its muted blue tone pairs well with pale oak, crisp white, and soft grey for a fresh but composed scheme.

A cool blue that works neatly on upholstered pieces or tailored curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
