Kensington Chartreuse

Brodsworth Fabric

Kensington Chartreuse has a luminous golden-green look with a fine horizontal slub that gives the surface gentle movement. The colour reads warm and lively, with a subtle sheen that catches the light across the weave.

About this fabric

This exact colourway from the Brodsworth collection by Fryett's Fabrics is woven in 100% polyester and comes 140cm wide, with a 0cm pattern repeat and care instruction NQT1<. Visually, the fabric shows a tightly worked horizontal texture rather than a printed motif, creating a softly ribbed surface that shimmers between mustard, chartreuse and antique gold. The tone feels warm and saturated, but not brash, with a slightly burnished quality that deepens in the folds. Its even, textural finish gives it a neat, contemporary presence while still feeling rich enough for decorative schemes.

How to use it

Pair this chartreuse with walnut, brass and deep olive for a layered, confident scheme, or use it as a bright accent against ivory walls. It works especially well where you want colour that feels vivid in daylight but still grounded by its golden undertone.

Use it to bring a sharp, sunlit lift to tailored upholstery or crisp curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
