Dahl Ochre

Byron Fabric

Dahl Ochre brings a crisp retro graphic to the Byron collection, with rounded rectangular loops set against a softly textured ground. The ochre gold is balanced by layers of grey, giving the design a clean, tailored look.

About this fabric

This fabric is made from 55% polyester and 45% cotton, with a 140cm width and a striking 102cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal repeat. The pattern reads as a neat grid of elongated rounded rectangles, each outlined in warm ochre or tonal greys over a pale silver-grey base. In this colourway the gold feels muted rather than bright, so the design stays smart and contemporary instead of overly bold. The woven surface has a lightly textured, fabric-like finish that suits a statement piece without looking overly glossy. Care instructions are AVQ1<.

How to use it

Dahl Ochre works well on accent chairs, headboards or cushions where the ochre detail can pick up timber and brass tones. It also makes a lively blind or pelmet fabric when paired with chalk, stone or charcoal plains.

Use with plain linens and walnut woods for a polished mid-century feel.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Dahl Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
