Porter & Stone

Bryony Indigo

Digital Prints Fabric

Bryony Indigo brings a bold botanical print to a softly textured stone ground, with leaf forms picked out in indigo, denim blue and dusky plum. The large-scale pattern has a relaxed, painterly feel that reads clearly across the width.

About this fabric

Woven in 100% cotton and measuring 150cm wide, Bryony Indigo is a printed fabric with a generous 64cm vertical repeat and 71cm horizontal repeat. The design shows layered leaves in cool blue, inky navy and muted mauve, all set against a warm stone background that keeps the overall effect calm rather than high-contrast. The visible cloth has a lightly slubbed, natural cotton character that suits the organic movement of the leaf trail. With no performance finish noted, it is best considered a decorative furnishing cotton for schemes that want colour and pattern without sheen.

How to use it

Use this colourway where you want the blue leaf motif to feel fresh against pale timber, chalky paint or linen upholstery. It works especially well in relaxed rooms that can take a large-scale pattern and a slightly earthy, artisan finish.

Pair with natural woods and plain linens to let the painterly leaf pattern take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
