About this fabric

Woven in 100% BCI Cotton, this 138cm-wide fabric has a substantial decorative feel and a 78cm vertical by 69.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. The swatch shows a tonal damask rendered almost entirely in chalk and ivory, with the motif only just lifting from the background for a low-contrast, elegant effect. Its surface reads dry and softly textured rather than shiny, which keeps the pattern looking crisp without becoming stark. Care instruction 1<AWQ is supplied for this exact fabric, so it is best handled with the appropriate attention expected of a decorative cotton.

How to use it

Use Classique Chalk where you want pattern without visual weight: it would suit tailored curtains, statement cushions, or an upholstered occasional chair. The cool-warm ivory tone works especially well beside pale oak, plaster pink, or brushed brass.

Pair with warm woods and soft neutrals to let the raised damask read as quietly elegant.
