About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is woven in 95% polyester and 5% lurex, with a 140cm width and a 9cm pattern repeat. The colourway reads as a dark wine red, with the check motif picked out in a pale gold-beige that catches the light without looking brash. The woven texture softens the edges of the squares, giving the design a slightly blurred, tactile look rather than a hard graphic one. It has enough visual presence for statement upholstery, while the lurex thread adds a refined finish for drapery as well.

How to use it

Use this burgundy check to bring warmth to a study, dining chair, or bench seat, especially against dark timber and brass. It also works as a rich curtain fabric where the gold-toned fleck will pick up lamp light and firelight.
