About this fabric

Belvedere Onyx from Porter & Stone is a 140cm-wide fabric with a 9cm pattern repeat and a composition of 95% polyester and 5% lurex. The visible design is a strong tonal check: matte black bands frame pale gold blocks that read almost like scattered light on a dark surface. The lurex content gives the pattern a restrained shimmer rather than a high shine, so the colourway feels more polished than flashy. Its woven appearance and clear repeat make it suitable for both structured upholstery pieces and dramatic drapery where the pattern can be seen across larger spans.

How to use it

Pair this black-and-gold colourway with walnut, smoked glass or warm brass to lean into its luxe edge. It works especially well where you want a dark textile that still reflects light and keeps the room from feeling flat.
