Bengal Noir sets a dramatic black ground with tonal charcoal foliage and prowling tiger motifs layered across the surface. The effect is moody and high-contrast, with the animals and palms emerging from the dark cloth rather than sitting flat on top of it.

About this fabric

This fabric is woven in a 50% polyester, 50% viscose blend and measures 140cm wide, with a 56cm pattern repeat. The surface shows a deep black base with slate-grey leaves and softly highlighted tiger stripes, giving the design a nocturnal, almost shadowed quality. The repeat is bold and decorative, with the jungle forms reading clearly at a distance while the textured weave keeps the finish from looking harsh. As there are no performance features noted, it is best considered for statement schemes where the strong motif and luxe dark palette are the main focus.

How to use it

Use Bengal Noir on an accent chair, ottoman or headboard where the black ground can anchor the room. It also works well with brass, walnut and smoked glass, which complement the fabric’s cool charcoal detailing.

Pair with quiet metallics or deep timber to let the tiger motif stand out.
