About this fabric

This Shimmer FR colourway pairs a deep charcoal base with irregular ivory-gold threadwork, creating a dramatic cracked-lava effect that feels more luminous than stark. The 93% polyester and 7% lurex composition gives the cloth its subtle sparkle, while the 140cm width makes it practical for larger drops or upholstered panels. Its 35.5cm vertical repeat and 36cm horizontal repeat mean the bold pattern will read clearly across cushions, chairs, or curtains. Although no performance features are noted, the fabric’s structured woven character and tonal contrast give it a polished, contemporary presence.

How to use it

Use Lava FR Charcoal to anchor a room with blackened timber, brass, or pale stone accents, where the warm shimmer can glow against darker finishes. It works especially well on an accent chair or lined drapery where the repeating web pattern can be seen at full scale.

Use for dramatic seating or statement curtains; the warm metallic threads soften the dark ground.
