Forza FR Slate
Upholstery Fabric
Forza FR Slate is a very dark, cool-toned grey with a quiet charcoal depth that reads almost black in low light. The close woven surface gives the swatch a crisp, understated texture rather than a sheen.

About this fabric
This Porter & Stone upholstery fabric is made from 100% polyester and measures 140cm wide, with no pattern repeat to consider. The colourway is a muted slate charcoal, finished with tiny woven flecks that soften the depth and keep it from looking flat. Visually it feels smooth and tightly structured, with a dry matte character that suits tailored, modern interiors. As a plain fabric, its strength is in the richness of tone and the subtle cloth texture rather than any decorative motif.
How to use it
Use this slate shade on a sofa, dining chair or headboard to anchor a room without introducing warmth. It pairs especially well with pale oak, stone, brushed metal and off-white walls for a sharp, contemporary contrast.
A sleek dark neutral that gives seating a tailored, low-key finish.

Pairs well with
Forza FR Slate is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
