About this fabric

This colourway in Shimmer FR has a striking black base with warm gold-lurex highlights that sit just above the surface, so the pattern reads crisp rather than bright. The 95% polyester and 5% lurex composition gives it a refined sheen, while the 140cm width makes it straightforward for upholstery projects. With a 0cm pattern repeat, the repeating motif is clean and regular, which helps the small-scale geometry stay orderly across cushions, chairs or banquettes. The overall effect is dark, smart and opulent, with the metallic detail softening the black rather than overpowering it.

How to use it

Use Onyx to bring contrast to pale walls or stone floors, where the gold detail can catch daylight and add depth. It also works well with walnut, smoked oak and aged brass for a rich, tailored look.
