About this fabric

This Shimmer FR colourway by Porter & Stone combines 95% polyester with 5% lurex, giving the cloth a smooth, lightly reflective finish rather than a flat matte look. The 140cm width and 0cm pattern repeat make it straightforward to plan with, especially where you want the small geometric motif to sit neatly across a run. Visually, the Rosso shade is a saturated burgundy-red with warm brown undertones, while the metallic thread catches the light in the paler outlines and tiny central details. It feels structured and decorative, with enough visual depth to bring interest without overpowering other furnishings.

How to use it

This red works well against dark timber, brass, and tobacco leather, where its warm metallic flecks can echo richer finishes. Use it for accent upholstery or lined curtains when you want a compact pattern with a confident, tailored mood.
