About this fabric

This Porter & Stone Shimmer FR fabric has a crisp, small-scale geometric repeat set on a deep charcoal base, with warm copper and bronze highlights that give the pattern a subtle metallic lift. The 95% polyester and 5% lurex composition is visible in the gentle shimmer, which keeps the surface from reading flat or matte. At 140cm wide with a 0cm pattern repeat, it is an easy fabric to work with for both upholstery and drapery projects. The overall effect is smart and slightly dramatic, with the copper tone standing out clearly against the dark ground without becoming overly bright.

How to use it

Use this colourway to add warmth to dark wood, aged brass and leather, or to soften a pared-back scheme with a touch of metallic pattern. It works especially well on occasional chairs, cushions or curtains where the bronze detail can be seen in changing light.

Use it for tailored upholstery or lined curtains where the copper shimmer can lift the dark ground.
