Shimla Charcoal

What's New Fabric

Shimla Charcoal shows a delicate trailing leaf pattern in deep charcoal and soft grey-brown against a pale ground. The repeating botanical motif feels clean and tailored, with enough contrast to read clearly from across a room.

About this fabric

This fabric is 140cm wide and made from 82% polyester, 11% cotton and 7% linen, giving it a practical woven handle with a natural-looking surface. The pattern repeat is 15.5cm vertically and 19.5cm horizontally, so the leaf trail has a steady, rhythmic placement across the cloth. In this colourway, the leaves read as charcoal to black with a softer taupe-grey shadow, which keeps the design sharp without feeling harsh. The pale background lifts the pattern and gives the fabric a light, airy finish despite the darker motif. Care code NQT1< is supplied for this textile.

How to use it

Use Shimla Charcoal to bring definition to neutral interiors, especially where you want pattern without introducing strong colour. It works well with pale timber, putty paint and matte black accents for a crisp, contemporary look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
