Porter & Stone

Werner Harlequin

What's New Fabric

Werner Harlequin pairs a smoky slate-blue ground with scattered botanical stems and leaf forms in rust, blush, ochre and deep navy. The result feels decorative and energetic, but the background keeps the pattern grounded rather than bright.

About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is from the What's New collection and measures 145cm wide, with a pattern repeat of 38.1cm vertical by 35.5cm horizontal. Its 69% polyester, 18% cotton and 13% viscose composition gives the surface a woven, slightly textural handle that supports use on both upholstery and drapery. In this colourway, the slate-blue ground reads cool and muted, allowing the leaf motifs in burgundy, navy, blush, apricot and soft gold to stand out clearly. The design has a lively, mid-to-large scale rhythm that feels more tailored than playful, with enough contrast to add interest without overwhelming a room. Care code NQT1< should be followed for cleaning.

How to use it

Use it on an occasional chair, banquette or roman blind where the blue ground can balance the warmer rust and blush accents. It works especially well with walnut timber, painted greys and softened ochre tones.

A lively botanical on a muted blue ground, ideal for a statement chair, headboard or relaxed drapes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
