Elephant Grey

Serengeti Fabric

Elephant Grey sets the Serengeti elephants against a deep, smoke-grey ground with a softly chalked outline. The result is graphic but muted, with the motif sitting clearly without feeling harsh.

About this fabric

This fabric is 50% Polyester and 50% Viscose, with a 140cm width and a 44cm pattern repeat. In this colourway, the elephant motif reads in pale, pencil-like lines over a dark charcoal-grey base, giving the design a weathered, slightly velvety look. The tone is cool and subdued rather than bright, so the pattern feels more like a tonal sketch than a bold contrast print. It works well where you want the character of a statement motif but still need the fabric to feel grounded and easy to live with. Care code NQT1< should be checked before cleaning or making up.

How to use it

Use Elephant Grey on occasional upholstery, cushions or structured curtains where the charcoal ground can be picked out by lighter timbers, stone or painted walls. The muted grey palette also suits layered interiors with black accents and natural textures.

Pairs a moody grey ground with chalky elephant outlines for a statement scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
