About this fabric

This Porter & Stone fabric is woven in a 62% viscose and 38% polyester blend, with a 140cm width and a repeat of 24.5cm vertical by 34cm horizontal. The swatch shows a small-scale trailing leaf motif in deep black against a soft taupe-beige ground, creating a controlled contrast rather than a high-gloss statement. The surface reads smooth and cloth-like, with the pattern sitting cleanly across the fabric rather than appearing raised or textured. Its neat repeat and balanced colour contrast make it feel polished and easy to place in a considered interior.

How to use it

The soft taupe ground keeps the look warm, while the black detailing gives it enough definition for fitted blinds, cushions, or a dining chair. It works especially well with dark timber, brass accents, and plain linens in charcoal or sand.

Use for tailored upholstery or refined curtains where the dark sprig motif can read crisp against the pale ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
