Classic Damask Charcoal

Modena FR Fabric

Classic Damask Charcoal pairs a deep charcoal ground with a softly reflective pale damask, giving the pattern real contrast and presence. The vertical slub in the cloth adds texture behind the ornate motif, so the design reads richly layered rather than flat.

About this fabric

Woven in a 55% Cotton, 3% Linen, 42% Polyester blend, this Modena FR fabric has a textured surface that supports the bold damask pattern without looking overly formal. The 140cm width and 45cm V x 23.5cm H repeat make it suitable for coordinated upholstery or drapery projects where a strong, repeating statement is wanted. In this colourway, the charcoal background feels cool and grounded, while the pale motif lifts the surface with a silvery, almost chalked effect. The overall look is tailored and decorative, with enough contrast to keep the pattern clear from across the room.

How to use it

Use Classic Damask Charcoal on an accent chair, dining seats or full-length curtains if you want a darker, more dramatic finish. It sits especially well with pale plaster, walnut tones and brushed metal accents.

A smart charcoal damask that works beautifully when you want pattern without losing the room’s depth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
