Classic Damask Dove

Modena FR Fabric

Classic Damask Dove shows a soft, tonal damask pattern lifted by a pale dove-grey ground. The design has a quietly elegant look, with the motif visible in a subtle sheen across the cloth.

About this fabric

This colourway of Modena FR pairs a 55% cotton, 3% linen and 42% polyester composition with a refined damask pattern that reads in layered shades of dove grey and ivory. The 140cm width and 45cm vertical by 23.5cm horizontal repeat make it suitable for lined curtains or decorative upholstery pieces where the pattern can be allowed to flow. In the image, the surface has a lightly striated texture that catches the light, giving the damask a soft, silvery depth rather than a flat pale grey. The overall effect is smart and restful, with enough detail in the motif to add character without overwhelming a room.

How to use it

Use it on a formal armchair, a headboard or full-length curtains where the pale grey damask can soften sharper architectural lines. It works especially well with chalk white, putty and brushed nickel finishes.

A cool dove-grey damask that feels refined and easy to pair with pale woods or polished metals.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Classic Damask Dove without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
