Classic Damask Ochre

Modena FR Fabric

Classic Damask Ochre presents a traditional damask pattern in a warm ochre ground with pale cream detailing. The finish has a softly striated look that gives the design extra depth and a slightly woven, tactile feel.

About this fabric

Part of Fryett's Fabrics' Modena FR collection, this fabric is composed of 55% Cotton, 3% Linen and 42% Polyester, with a 140cm width and a 45cm vertical by 23.5cm horizontal pattern repeat. The damask motif reads clearly in a light cream over an ochre-gold base, creating a tonal contrast that feels warm rather than heavy. Fine vertical striations in the ground soften the sheen and add a subtle textile texture across the surface. With no performance features noted, it is best considered as a decorative fabric for coordinated furnishing schemes where the pattern can take centre stage.

How to use it

Use this ochre colourway on accent upholstery, statement cushions or tailored drapery where the warm gold ground will glow in natural light. It pairs well with walnut woods, aged brass and chalky neutrals for a classic, inviting scheme.

A warm ochre damask that brings a classic, softly lustrous finish to elegant interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Classic Damask Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
