Berlin Ochre

Magma Fabric

Berlin Ochre combines a bold geometric pattern with a warm ochre-gold palette and charcoal accents. The woven surface gives the design a tactile, tailored look with clear vertical movement across the cloth.

About this fabric

This colourway in the Magma collection uses a 79% polyester and 21% viscose composition, giving the pattern a crisp woven appearance with a soft lustre in the lighter yarns. The design reads as a structured geometric with vertical bands, arcs and broken blocks, while the ochre sections bring warmth against the grey, taupe and charcoal ground. At 145cm wide and with a 41cm vertical repeat and 34.5cm horizontal repeat, it is a substantial patterned fabric that suits statement pieces. The overall effect is earthy but polished, with the gold notes catching the light more than the darker inky shapes.

How to use it

Use Berlin Ochre on an accent chair, ottoman or blind where its warm ochre notes can sit against walnut, bronze or soft stone finishes. It also works well with plain textured cushions in flax or charcoal to balance the strong linear pattern.

Pair with plain linens or warm greys to let the ochre lifts and charcoal shapes lead.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Berlin Ochre without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
