Monmouth FR Brindle

Monmouth FR Fabric

Monmouth FR Brindle has a tightly woven, flecked surface that reads as a warm taupe from a distance and more nuanced up close. The finish feels quietly tactile, with light catching the raised threads to reveal beige, brown and grey notes.

About this fabric

This colourway in the Monmouth FR collection shows a small, even texture with a natural-looking slubbed weave rather than a printed pattern. The overall tone is a muted brindle taupe, softened by warmer beige yarns and cooled by touches of grey, giving the cloth a grounded, easygoing look. It is woven in 100% polyester and supplied at 140cm wide, with a pattern repeat of 0cm, so the texture stays continuous across the width. The close weave and substantial handle suggest a fabric suited to upholstery, while the low-sheen surface keeps it refined rather than heavy.

How to use it

Use Brindle on a sofa or armchair where you want a neutral with more depth than plain beige. It pairs especially well with timber, linen and darker accent cushions, letting the warm taupe ground a layered scheme.

A versatile neutral with a softly heathered look that works neatly with oak, stone and other natural finishes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
