Aria Charcoal

Plains & Semi Plains Fabric

Aria Charcoal is a quietly dark plain with a subtle horizontal grain that gives the surface a soft, understated movement. The colour reads as deep charcoal black rather than a flat black, with faint lighter striations catching the light.

About this fabric

From the Plains & Semi Plains collection by Fryett's Fabrics, Aria Charcoal is woven in 100% polyester and measures 140cm wide, with a 0cm pattern repeat and BQV1 care instructions. The close-up image shows a fine, linear texture running across the cloth, softening the depth of the charcoal shade. Its tone is cool and muted, with just enough variation in the weave to keep the surface from looking solid or harsh. The overall effect is smart and restrained, making it an easy dark neutral for schemes that need visual weight without a strong pattern.

How to use it

Use Aria Charcoal to ground pale timber, concrete, or metal finishes, where its cool charcoal depth will sharpen the room without feeling stark. It works especially well on clean-lined seating or simple curtains where the subtle woven texture can be seen at close range.

A sleek dark neutral that suits tailored upholstery or understated drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
