Malvern White

Plains & Semi Plains Fabric

Malvern White is a softly luminous plain with a fine horizontal slub that gives the surface gentle movement. Its pearl-white tone feels calm and clean rather than bright or chalky.

About this fabric

Woven in 80% polyester and 20% cotton, this 140cm-wide fabric has a subtle textured finish with no pattern repeat, making it an easy choice for understated schemes. The colour reads as a pale pearl white with a faint warm cast, so it softens daylight instead of reflecting it sharply. In the weave, you can see tiny flecks and striations that stop the cloth from looking flat, while still keeping the overall effect pared-back. With no performance features noted, it is best specified for projects where a neat, neutral appearance is the priority.

How to use it

Use Malvern White to brighten upholstered headboards, benches or occasional chairs, especially in rooms with natural wood or painted joinery. Its soft white tone also works well for relaxed drapery where you want light to pass through a calm, textured surface.

A clean, quietly textured neutral that lifts a room without feeling stark.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
