Slaidburn Olive

What's New Fabric

Slaidburn Olive shows a softly ornate floral pattern in a muted olive-gold tone, with the motif sitting gently against a pale ground. The woven texture gives the design a refined, slightly rustic character rather than a sharp or glossy finish.

About this fabric

This fabric is supplied in a 140cm width and has a 31.5cm pattern repeat, making the overall design read as a balanced medium-scale floral across the cloth. The composition of 49% poly, 45% cotton and 6% linen suggests a practical mixed-fibre fabric with a natural-looking surface and a little textural depth. In this colourway, the olive sits on the warmer side of green, softened with gold so the pattern feels mellow and sunlit rather than dark or sage-led. The pale background keeps the repeat airy, while the leaf-and-flower forms create a quietly traditional ornamental effect.

How to use it

Use Slaidburn Olive on a pair of wing chairs, a headboard or relaxed dining seats where the muted olive-gold can bring warmth without overpowering the room. It also works well for curtains in a room with aged brass, oak or cream-painted joinery.

Works beautifully on tailored upholstery or elegant curtains for a softly classic look.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Slaidburn Olive without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
