About this fabric

This House of Hackney curtain-collection velvet is patterned with large botanical forms in rust, burnt orange, ochre, cream and touches of muted blue. The moss-green ground reads cool and earthy in the shadows, becoming softer where the velvet catches the light. Full vertical folds add depth to the dense floral arrangement and emphasise the fabric’s substantial drapery character. Its dark, saturated colourway brings a theatrical, garden-inspired mood to a window without losing the tactile softness associated with velvet.

How to use it

Hang this moss-green colourway as full-length curtains in a room with aged brass, walnut or warm plaster tones, allowing the rust and ochre motifs to echo cushions, ceramics or painted furniture.

Use this deep moss velvet for richly layered curtains against warm neutrals, brass and dark timber.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
