About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet curtain, AVALON in Noir has a deep near-black ground that gives the floral design considerable visual depth. Sunflowers, pale blooms, leaves and curling stems are packed closely across the cloth, with ochre-gold and cream flowers standing out most strongly. Muted greens soften the contrast, while scattered pink and rust-coloured accents add warmth. The gathered folds show how the dark velvet surface shifts subtly as the light moves across it.

How to use it

Use this Noir colourway as full-length window dressing where its near-black depth can anchor a room, then pick out the gold flowers with aged brass or warm timber. Its dense botanical surface works especially well alongside cream walls and softly patterned furnishings.

Use this richly coloured floral velvet to frame windows in rooms with antique timber, warm metals and layered textiles.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
