About this fabric

The saturated petrol ground gives this velvet curtain a cool, enveloping depth, while the botanical flowers bring flashes of coral, cream, pink, yellow and blue. Large leafy sprays run across the cloth, creating a richly layered pattern that remains visible through the deep pleats. The velvet surface catches the light unevenly, shifting from blue-green highlights to near-black folds. This colourway reads as dramatic and jewel-like against the warm neutral wall and pale window surround shown here.

How to use it

Use the deep petrol tone to frame a window in a richly layered room, balancing its colourful florals with warm plaster, aged brass or soft cream upholstery. Keep surrounding patterns quieter so the saturated botanical velvet remains the focal point.

A rich petrol velvet with jewel-toned flowers, especially effective as full-length statement curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
