About this fabric

This substantial velvet weighs 994 gsm and has a usable width of 140 cm, giving the cloth a dense, upholstery-led presence. The close surface reads as a near-petrol teal, with cool green-blue tones deepening where the pile turns away from the light. There is no pattern repeat vertically or horizontally, so the focus remains on the colour depth and gently variegated nap. A standard length of 35 m and 67 threads per cm complete the supplied specification for this plain Performance Velvets cloth.

How to use it

Use the saturated petrol-teal shade on a generous sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard, where its dark pile can add depth against warm timber, aged brass or softly coloured walls. Keep surrounding textiles quieter so the light-catching nap remains the main detail.
