About this fabric

This substantial velvet weighs 994 gsm, giving the cloth a convincingly heavy presence for upholstered furniture. The close, fine surface shows restrained tonal variation rather than a visible motif, with the pile catching light in soft brown-grey shifts. It has 67 threads per cm and a 140 cm usable width. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, making the plain colourway straightforward to position across a design.

How to use it

Pair the warm cocoa-brown tone with aged timber, tobacco leather or muted stone upholstery for a rich, enveloping scheme. It is especially effective on a substantial armchair, sofa or padded headboard where its dark surface can show gentle changes in light.
