About this fabric

The large-scale damask is formed from curling, symmetrical scrolls and leaf-like details, with copper highlights catching against the darker fig ground. At 712 gsm, this is a substantial textile with the visual and physical presence suited to upholstery. It has a 143 cm usable width, with a vertical repeat of 74 cm and a horizontal repeat of 36 cm. The close, richly worked surface is further defined by its 76 threads per cm construction.

How to use it

Use the warm copper-and-fig balance on a feature armchair, buttoned headboard or statement sofa, pairing it with dark timber, aged brass and quieter brown-purple plains. Its formal scale works particularly well where the repeating ornament can be displayed across broad upholstery panels.

A richly ornate, heavy woven damask for statement upholstery and other formal interior details.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
