Tespi Amethyst/Mole

Tespi Fabrics FabricZOF0014-02

Tespi Amethyst/Mole combines a deep amethyst ground with an intricate mole-coloured damask. The dense scrolling motif reads as richly layered, with the lighter pattern giving the purple ground definition without bright contrast.

About this fabric

The design is formed from repeating, vertically arranged damask medallions and curling foliage, worked in muted mole over the amethyst background. Its 74 cm vertical repeat and 36 cm horizontal repeat give the ornate pattern a clearly structured rhythm across the cloth. At 712 gsm, with 76 threads per cm and a 143 cm usable width, this is a substantial fabric well suited to upholstery. The dark purple ground gives the colourway a cool, shadowed depth, while the mole detailing softens the overall effect.

How to use it

Use Tespi Amethyst/Mole on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa where its deep amethyst tone can anchor a room. Balance the ornate damask with warm taupe, aged wood and restrained metallic accents rather than introducing another strong pattern.

Use this deep, muted purple damask to bring layered colour and ornate character to upholstered seating.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Tespi Amethyst/Mole without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
