About this fabric

The closely packed, velvety surface gives this plain fabric a substantial, tactile appearance, with pale highlights brushing across the plum pile and deeper mauve shadows in the folds. At 486 gsm and 140 cm usable width, it is a weighty textile particularly well suited to upholstery. Both the vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are 0 cm, leaving the surface uninterrupted by a motif. The supplied construction also records 85 threads per cm, supporting the swatch’s dense, richly textured impression.

How to use it

Use Curzon Plum on a buttoned armchair, sofa or footstool where its dusky purple tone can read as an intimate, opulent accent. Pair it with warm stone, aged timber and muted rose neutrals to draw out the lighter mauve sheen without losing the depth of the plum ground.
