About this fabric

This substantial 486 gsm fabric is visibly dense and velvety, with fine closely set ridges running through the pile and irregular lighter patches that prevent the old-gold colour from appearing flat. The warm shade sits between antique gold and soft ochre, reading deeper in the recessed pile and brighter where the light catches the raised surface. With a usable width of 140 cm and zero vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, it can be planned as a continuous plain upholstery cloth without motif matching. The supplied construction records 85 threads per cm, reinforcing the tightly woven, weighty character visible in the swatch.

How to use it

Use Curzon Old Gold on a buttoned chair, sofa or headboard where its warm antique tone can catch the light across the curved upholstery. Pair it with walnut, dark bronze and chalky neutrals to emphasise the cloth’s plush, softly aged depth.
