Taisho Weave Gold

Kensington Walk Fabrics FabricZOF0177-02

Taisho Weave Gold shows overlapping, fan-shaped botanical leaves in a pale cream ground, traced with softly mottled antique-gold lines. Its woven surface gives the design a dry, tactile depth rather than a flat appearance.

About this fabric

At 779gsm, Taisho Weave Gold has a substantial hand that suits structured upholstery. The warm gold is muted and lightly weathered, with cream showing through the leaf outlines to keep the colourway soft rather than bright or brassy. Its botanical repeat measures 129cm vertically by 70cm horizontally, creating a clearly scaled leafy pattern across the cloth. The fabric has a 142cm usable width and a standard length of 25m for planning larger upholstery projects.

How to use it

Use this warm antique-gold colourway on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa, pairing it with cream upholstery plains and aged brass accents. Its pale ground also works with warm timber, where the leaf detail can read as softly tonal rather than highly contrasted.

A weighty botanical weave suited to upholstered seating and other structured furnishings.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
