About this fabric

The pattern combines creamy ivory, muted ochre-gold and charcoal marks in irregular, petal-like forms, with a softly brushed surface visible across the swatch. Its 67cm vertical and 91cm horizontal repeats create a lively but balanced medium-scale rhythm rather than a rigid geometric layout. At 265gsm and 138cm usable width, this is a versatile mid-weight fabric suited to both upholstery and drapery. The cloth has 84.4 threads per centimetre and is supplied in a standard 60m length.

How to use it

Pair this colourway with warm ivory, chalk and oatmeal upholstery to draw out the cream ground, then repeat the charcoal accents in piping, painted furniture or a darker curtain pole. The restrained gold works particularly well with aged brass and natural wood.

Use the warm gold and cream ground to soften the charcoal detailing, with the painterly repeat adding movement to upholstery or full-length curtains.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
