About this fabric

This velvet is patterned with a dense botanical arrangement of rust-gold and copper flowers, pale blue-grey blossoms, small ochre details and near-black foliage. The petrol ground gives the colourway a cool, inky depth, while the warmer blooms punctuate the surface with flashes of amber and burnt orange. As a velvet, it has a softly light-catching character that adds depth to the layered floral design. The medium-scale repeat feels abundant and decorative without losing the dark teal background between the motifs.

How to use it

Use this petrol colourway on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard, pairing its cool teal depth with aged brass, warm timber and ochre or rust accents. Keep surrounding textiles quieter so the pale blue flowers and copper blooms remain the focus.

A richly layered petrol velvet that brings rust-gold blooms and pale blue flowers into focus on upholstery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
