About this fabric

This colourway reads as a deep petrol teal: stronger and moodier than aqua, with a blue-green character that remains distinctly cool. The plain velvet face has a smooth, softly lustrous appearance, while the nap creates gentle tonal variation rather than a printed motif. At approximately 140cm wide, it is specified for curtains and fixed upholstery, with Contract and General Domestic upholstery grades. The composition is 71% polyester, 17% acrylic and 12% cotton; care is listed as Delicate Wash 30°C or Dry Clean.

How to use it

Pair this petrol teal with warm timber, brushed brass and cream upholstery to balance its cool depth, or use it on a statement chair or full-length curtains for a more enveloping room scheme.

Use this deep petrol velvet to bring saturated colour and soft depth to upholstery, curtains or layered teal schemes.

Pairs well with

Tango Velvet Petrol is a quiet cloth, so it carries a pattern beside it: one of these on the curtains and this on the chair. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
